Every area served by a Borough or District Council is divided up into a number of areas called wards. A council ward usually covers a few thousand households and is represented by two or more councillors, depending on its size. The Bracknell Parliamentary Constituency falls mostly within Bracknell Forest BoroughCouncil although three wards are in Wokingham District and some Windsor Constituency wards are included in Bracknell Forest Borough.

Bob Edger, Previous Borough Mayor, at an event. Both Bracknell Town and Bracknell Forest Borough Council are Conservative run, although the Bracknell Forest Borough Council Web site, Bracknell Town Council Web site, and other Parish/Town web sites have to be politically impartial for legal reasons. On the Web site you can read about many of the things the Council is achieving under good Conservative control.
Details of Member allowances can be found on the Borough Council site -
